To my way of thinking, good health means my body is functioning as it should. - All five senses are in good working order. I can see the world around me clearly. I can smell the roses and taste my food. I can hear the wind and the birds. When I touch something with any part of my anatomy, I can feel it I can think through my problems, come up with solutions and apply them. That incredible computer at the top of my spine is working.
- All my muscles are functioning perfectly. I can move any part of me whenever I want to.
- My organs are in good condition. My stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas and kidneys are processing my food properly. Food goes in one end, nutrients and fluids are drawn off as it dvances through the intestines and the residue exits at the other end. My heart beats steadily and my lungs pump rhythmically, circulating oxygen-laden blood to feed every cell.
- My glands regulate themselves and each other with incredible coordination, so that I grow and mature and function just as I should.
- Just as important, I am free of stress, anxiety and depression. I sleep well. I feel good about myself and my relationships are cordial. In other words, my mental health is as good as my physical health.
As I age, some of these systems may slow down, even quit on me. That doesn't mean I have to accept it. There are plenty of things I can do to keep a state of good health. That's what this website is all about.
